Being a young person (and raising one) is no easy task! Adolescent anxiety rates are at all-time highs, and many feel completely overwhelmed. They struggle with confidence, identity, self-expression, self-esteem, peer issues, emotional management, academic pressure, executive functioning, college/career readiness and more.
These issues don’t just impact some youth. They impact all young people in some form. Even the most high-functioning students struggle (often hiding it best). These stressors have been exacerbated by the heightened use of modern technology and the overall impact of the pandemic. And sadly, schools – both public and private – just don’t have enough resources to provide much-needed emotional management, goal-setting, and life skills tools to youth.
As coaches, parents contact us for a wealth of reasons – from significant and persistent challenges to minor recurring issues. Mostly though, they love their child and simply want to know they did everything possible to ensure their success.
If at times you have found yourself feeling helpless, unable to reach your child, worrying about their future, or in need of extra support, we’re here for you. We serve as guides, role models, and mentors for your child, and support you, too.
